Know when to race.
Not every gap needs to be taken. Patience means reading the situation, managing risk, surviving the opening laps, and understanding that the strongest move is often the one made at the right time.
Sim1GP is built around a simple idea: better racing comes from better drivers. Raw speed matters, but the drivers who progress are the ones who learn to stay composed, make intelligent decisions, race cleanly, and perform consistently under pressure.
Sim1GP is not designed around one perfect qualifying lap or one aggressive move. It is designed to reward the habits that make a complete racing driver: controlling risk, respecting the competition, repeating performance, understanding when to attack, and finishing races with the car and championship intact.
Not every gap needs to be taken. Patience means reading the situation, managing risk, surviving the opening laps, and understanding that the strongest move is often the one made at the right time.
Track limits, flags, starts, penalties, consistency and respect for other competitors all matter. Discipline turns speed into repeatable performance and creates trust between drivers.
Race craft is more than overtaking. It includes positioning, defending, spatial awareness, pressure management, clean wheel-to-wheel racing and knowing how to bring a result home.
The championship format gives drivers repeated opportunities to learn a circuit, race different competitors and improve over the course of a week. Every season then moves across eight tracks representing four global regions.
Every competitor races the same championship circuit during the week. This concentrates the field, creates repeat encounters between drivers, and gives competitors time to improve rather than constantly relearning a new circuit.
Drivers can race multiple times in a day, but only their best points-paying result counts toward the championship. The goal is opportunity without turning the standings into a contest of who can grind the most races.
A race must start with at least three eligible cars to award championship points. Once the minimum is met at the start, later retirements or disconnects do not invalidate the race.
After all eight weekly circuits and the final steward review, the highest-scoring eligible driver is crowned Sim1GP Formula 4 Digital Champion. The season is archived and the next campaign begins.
Championship points answer one question: who is winning this season? The Sim1GP Driver Rating answers a different one: how complete is the driver becoming? The rating is intended to reflect performance across races rather than a single result.
Sim1GP is intended to create a progression environment. Drivers should be able to look back at a season and see more than wins and losses: cleaner racing, smaller lap-time variation, stronger decision-making, fewer penalties, better finishes and a measurable improvement in race craft.
Enter the championship, race the weekly circuit and build your Sim1GP record.
